Cover Artwork Reveal – The Holders by Julianna Scott
A treat for a Monday morning, y’all! We have the cover artwork for The Holders by Julianna Scott (released March 2013) and we want you to see it!

The cover artwork is by Lee Gibbons, who also did the fabulous cover to Katya’s World (we love him!)
Here’s the book blurb:
17-year-old Becca has spent her whole life protecting her brother – from their father leaving and from the people who say the voices in his head are unnatural. When two strangers appear with apparent answers to Ryland’s “problem” and details about a school in Ireland where Ryland will not only fit in, but prosper, Becca is up in arms.
She reluctantly agrees to join Ryland on his journey and what they find at St. Brigid’s is a world beyond their imagination. Little by little they piece together information about their family’s heritage and the legend of the Holder race that decrees Ryland is the one they’ve been waiting for—but they are all, especially Becca, in for a surprise that will change what they thought they knew about themselves and their kind.
So, what do you think?

Sounds and looks great! I’ve always wanted to read a book set in Ireland :-)
Love the jewellery (not so keen on the background colour). Hate the font. :)
I quite like the font. :)
I like the font; very Irish! And the dogs in the ring are cool! So they are Irish shape-shifters? Like werewolves?
Excited to read!
Oh, methinks this is very much a RAFO sort of situation ;-)
The green is so pretty! And I agree with Liz, that is what I thought as well. Though I see wolves more than dogs. (No they are not the same thing! ;o) ) Guess we will have to see!
Adding to my must-reads!
Lovely job and congratulations!
Beautiful cover. But then they all have been. :)
It’s gorgeous! Will be so visible from across a bookstore.
What are those were-seals we talked about at Chicon called again? Selkies?
I am loving Lee Gibbons’ entire portfolio so far!

I like the font for the author’s name but for some reason it just isn’t working for me for the title of the book. Maybe if it were in a different color or a similar but different font. Possibly if the red was darker behind the title like it is behind the author’s name. It just isn’t standing out as much as it should be.
Sounds like a very interesting story premise!
