A blogger friend sent Lovely, Dark and Deep to me. It wasn’t necessarily for Christmas, but seeing as we didn’t exchange gifts this year, I’m counting it!

I got Moranthology by Caitlin Moran, Brave New World, Perks of Being a Wallflower and the series 1-6 Doctor Who Encyclopaedia. Yesterday I sold a clothes voucher to my cousin and today I bought Iron King, Fury and My Soul to Save. I also got a tonne of music theory books. It was a good Christmas (my To Read pile doesn’t think so though).

Well, since you asked… :-) The City’s Son, The Night Circus, Throne of Glass, The Lies of Locke Lamora, Among Thieves, The Stars My Destination, Life of Pi, and The Book of the New Sun. It was a great year for books! What about you Amanda? :-)

Cloud Atlas (yeah, I know, I’m a bit behind the curve on that one….), plus Horses: History, Myth, Art by Catherine Johns, from an artist friend of mine; a gorgeously illustrated chronicle of these sublime beasts as depicted/perceived by society since our earliest associations w/ them. And, from my sis, The Most Evil Pirates in History by Klein. Well, ya have to know my sis, but it’s actually a great little overview, with a long chapter on all the femmes fatale (is that the right plural?) who took to the pirating way.
